Insurance & Fees
Insurance
Because every insurance policy is different, coverage and out-of-pocket costs can vary. For some clients, this may mean only a small co-pay at each session, while others may be responsible for the full session fee until their deductible is met.
We understand insurance can feel complicated, and we're here to help. We're happy to check your benefits and walk you through what your plan covers so you know what to expect. We currently accept the following insurance plans:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Blue Cross HMO (some plans)
- Aetna
- Cigna
- UnitedHealthcare
- Optum
- UMR
- Anthem
- Meritain
- UHC Medicare
- Medicare
Co-pays or client responsibility amounts are due at the time of service.
If you prefer, we also offer a straightforward self-pay option.
Fees
Rates are discussed during your free 15-minute consultation, where we can talk through your needs and whether Telos is the right fit. If you plan to use insurance, we will help you understand your coverage before your first session.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
Cancellations and Missed Appointments
We ask for cancellations or reschedules to be made at least 24 hours in advance. Given that we see a limited number of clients, and to ensure effective treatment, each appointment time is reserved specifically for you. It can be a challenge to fill cancellations on short notice, so in consideration of our time to support each person, a late cancellation fee will be assessed to any missed appointments, cancellations, or reschedules occurring with less than 24 hours notice.
